Day 1: Spituk to Jingchan trek

Reach village Spituk 3.200 m (10.500 ft.) by car which offers a great view from the monastery built here in the 15th century. Walk to the next village Jingchan 3.380 m (11.090 ft.).

 

Day 2: Jingchan to the base of Stok-La

Follow the hard track after the river crossings to reach the village name Rumbak 3.800 m (12.470 ft.). The ascent after an hours’ walk towards the East takes you to the camp on the way of your pass 4.500 m (14.760 ft.).

 

Day 3: base of Stok-La to Stok via Stok-La

Follow the steep zigzag way from Rumbak towards Stok-La 4.800 m (15.750 ft). From this pass descend towards the village Stok from where it will be an easy trek. Go left from the river which comes down from Stok-Kangri (6.153 m) massif. Visit Stok palace here which has a unique ornament display and was the home of King of Leh. From Stok you will go back to Leh.
