Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Leh

Before starting Stok Kangri Trek,  you must spend 2 days in Leh to know the temperature and adjust to that atmosphere. To reach Leh, you can take either take flight or a car. We will send you an email with all the information about lodging in Leh. Once in Leh, register at the hotel or guest house. Given that Leh is 11,500 feet above sea level, get some rest and acclimate. You can spend the evening exploring the top destinations in Ladakh.

Day 2: Leh to Zingchan (3900 m)

We first drive to Spituk to get to Stok Kangri from the nearest street. Begin the Stok Kangri Trek with a short, easy stroll and continue for around four hours till you reach Zingchan. Trek Time: 4-6 hrs

Day 3: Zingchang to Stok La (4400 m)

After breakfast, we will head to Stok Kangri. From Zingchan, we will hike to the foot of Stok La since it is located below. Here, the days are often mild and the evenings are chilly. When arrive in Stok La, unwind at the camp and enjoy the evening. Trek Time: 6-7 hrs

Day 4: Stok La to Mankorma (4900 m)

Here we will discover the breathtaking Stok Kangri Trek scenery and the route to the summit starting at base camp. There you will see beautiful peaks and enjoy your time to the fullest. Trek Time: 5-6 hrs

Day 5: Mankorma to Base Camp (5000 m)

We take off for the base camp as soon as possible in the morning. Make sure you get to the camp promptly and make the most of the opportunity for rest. After relaxing for a few hours, do a quick ascent from base camp. 

Climb a further 100 meters and then descend once more to have enough time in the evening to set for tomorrow’s ultimate undertaking. Trek Time: 5-6 hrs

Day 6: Base Camp to Stok Kangri (6150 m)

We start early to take advantage of the ideal weather conditions. Get up to the edge first. To reach the top, we must traverse a massive icy mass that is prompted by this edge. The final steps up to the peak are typically difficult and demand strong physical and mental strength. Trek Time: 8-10 hrs

Day 7: Summit Day

This will be an additional day to explore and enjoy the ultimate beauty of nature during your Stok Kangri Trek.

Day 8: Base Camp to Stok Down (3500 m)

Climb from the base camp to the Stok Village. Then, we drive to Stok Village, where the cars are waiting for us, which takes around six hours. Return to Leh via car for two hours.  There is enrollment for both the short-term stay and the accommodation. Trek time: 7-8 hrs

  • Practice to hold your breath for 40 seconds.
  • Three sets of pushing ups (10), lunges and squats (15 X 2 sets), and climbing thirty to forty stairs in one stretch.
